Junior and Senior students who qualify with the first criteria of a 3.80 or higher weighted GPA will be invited to attend the informational meeting in September where the application process will be explained along with the expectations for all members. In addition to the GPA requirement, Juniors MUST have accumulated a total of 40 community service hours since freshman year. Seniors MUST have a total of 50 cumulative hours.
Once potential candidates have completed the NHS resume/application and submitted all required documentation, the Faculty Council (teachers) will review the applications and approve or deny membership of candidates. Areas that future candidates might want to focus on are service and leadership and documentation of any recognitions/awards received both inside and outside of school. Teacher recommendations will also be included in the application process.
