Attendance Information for Nease Parents and Students

Please use this page as your reference for Nease attendance policies, forms, and points of contact.

You can also refer to the St. Johns County Student Code of Conduct for the District’s attendance policies.

Notes are required to excuse an absence or early dismissal. If a student is checked out for a Doctor’s appointment, a Doctor’s note should be provided within 48 hours of the early dismissal to excuse the absence. Also, if student misses a full day of school a note should be provided within 48 hours of the absence.

We cannot accept emails. Excuse notes must be written by the parent with contact information included.

If students will be checking out early, NHS Attendance requires a note prior to the start of school on the day of the early dismissal.  IF the student is the driver, a parent phone number must be placed on the note.

NO student can be checked out over the phone or by email.

Last Dismissal Time- We do not dismiss students after the end of 6th period unless an Early Dismissal Form was turned into the front office before school starts. Individuals who arrive after the last dismissal time will wait until the final bell dismisses all students at the end of the day.
o The latest dismissal times at the end of 6th period are as follows:
Monday: 2:55 p.m.
Tuesday: 3:04 p.m.
Wednesday: 2:05 p.m.
Thursday: 3:04 p.m.
Friday: 2:55 p.m.
